Where are you located?

We are based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada -you can only purchase your wedding invitations on line because we do not have a local retail front store in Winnipeg or any where else.

Do you have a phone number where I can talk to someone?

Yes we do. We primarily conduct our business online, therefore the fastest way to get in touch with us is via email through our Contact Us page. However we can also be reached at (204) 391-0133.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes we ship internationally! In addition to the Canada and U.S.A., we currently ship worldwide. All orders shipping internationally can be placed directly through our website. Get more information on shipping here.

How do I place an order?

You can place your wedding invitations on line through our secure online store.

What types of payment do you accept?

Once I place my order, what happens next?

STEP: 1

Once you purchase wedding invitations on line, you will receive an email detailing the order confirmation and also details about the proofing process.
We will then email you proofs of your invitation card wording and inserts wording within 5 business days from the day you placed your order.
See complete checklist on proofing help. The proofing process from beginning to end can take from 1 week to 3 weeks depending on how quickly you respond - so please check your emails often.

STEP: 2

Once you receive your PDF proofs, you have to PROOF READ over and over again! This is very important!
Start by checking spelling, punctuation, layout and other details and let us know if further changes are required.
We include 2 complimentary rounds of proofs with your order.
The turnaround time for second proof is usually 2-4 business days.

STEP: 3

We will not print without your approval! Once you have reviewed the proofs and sent your approval, we will start the design and production of your card.
Bibi Invitations is not responsible for any error is realized after the invitation has been approved by you and signed off on. If you choose to reprint due to an error, you will be responsible for 100% reprint, reproduction and labor costs.
If an error is made on our part, where the final printed product differs from the approved proof, we will be happy to reprint at no additional cost to you.

STEP: 4

Standard production time is 5-7 weeks after you have signed off on the final proofs for our Okin Signature Collection and 4-6 weeks for our Ifeoma and Abena Collections. Care is taken to ensure your package arrives safely.
For Canadian and US orders our courier of choice is Canada Post (Regular or XPresspost), international orders are shipped either by Fedex International Economy mail or Canada Post XPresspost International.
For International orders note that duty or brokerage fees will be applied and they are your responsibility.

What is the best time to order my wedding invitations?

The best time frame to order your wedding invitations from Bibi Invitations is 4-6 months before your wedding. This time frame gives us enough time to send out your proofs and make any necessary changes.

How can I tell if my order went through?

You will receive a confirmation email when an order is placed - if you do not receive this immediately, please check you junk mail.

How many wedding invitations should I order?

One invitation for each family, couple or individual is usually required.

We highly recommend that you order 25 more than you think you need. The extra quantity will account for wrong addresses, keepsakes for you and family and last minute guests. It is less expensive to order extras, instead of placing a second order in the future.

I didn't order enough wedding invitations. Can I order more later?

Yes, you can order more invitations a later date, but it is substantially more expensive than ordering extras up front.
Each print run incurs setup costs and prep time, regardless of the quantity ordered.

The minimum order is 75.

Are envelopes included in my order?

Yes, envelopes are included in your order and you may also have the the option of choosing different colored envelopes to match your invitation.

Can I change my order ?

Any changes to your order after payment has been submitted are not guaranteed and are at the discretion of Bibi Invitations.

Can I cancel my order?

There is a non-refundable cancellation charge. 25% of your total order or $100 (whichever is greater) will be charged if you decide to cancel your order AFTER proofs have been sent. This fee is just to cover the time and effort our designer has used in putting your proofs together.
Once you have approved your proofs and the printing process has started, your order cannot be canceled. If you have any doubts about the wedding invitation style, or would like to see the paper quality and color, we highly recommend ordering invitation samples.

Do you accept rush orders?

Sorry, there is no option to rush your order at this time but this option will be reconsidered in the future.

What is your return policy?

Because our wedding invitations are specifically designed for you, and cannot be resold we do not accept returns.

However, our ultimate goal is your satisfaction, so if you are not happy with your order in any way, please let us know and we will be glad to work with you to come up with a solution.

While we guarantee the highest quality in a our products we would like you to inspect your order carefully as soon as it arrives because we cannot replace or compensate for defective products if a complaint is submitted 2 business days after the order has been received.

Errors made by us will be corrected immediately, at no cost to you however note once a proof has been signed off on and approved, spelling errors or any other errors that may have been overlooked during the proofing is your responsibility and will be reprinted at your expense this also includes the shipping costs.

We also do not accept returns on samples.

Will I get a proof of my order before it's printed?

Absolutely!

First Proof - All proofs provided by Bibi Invitations are digital proofs in PDF format (sent by email).
The First proof allows you to look at the layout of the wording on the page and the graphics layout (if any). Our Designer will insert the text exactly as it appears on the wording form.
We will not make corrections to text. You can expect your first proof within 5 Business Days of submitting your wording form.

First Proof Review - Look over the proof for layout, wording, and spelling. Look over everything carefully several times. Be sure to look for consistency in the set (ie if you spell honour with a u be sure the word favour (if used) also includes a u). Once you have looked at everything compile all changes (if any) onto your First Proof Approval form. Be sure to include all of your changes.

Second Proof - Our designers will incorporate all of your changes to the proof document and send you your second proof. This proof incorporates all of the changes that were included on the First Proof Approval Form after reviewing your first proof. Review this proof carefully to ensure that all of your requested changes were incorporated correctly. Please be sure to compile ALL of your changes onto the Second proof approval form as any revisions requested after the submission of this form will incur a $19.95 change fee.

Final Proof Approval - Your Final Proof will be sent and will incorporate changes from your Second Proof Approval Form. This Final Proof is what the printer will base your product off of so be sure to check several times and read each word carefully. Once you have approved your final proof Bibi Invitations is not responsible for any typos or mistakes, errors and/or omissions to your wording. Any errors identified after the final proof has been signed off will be fixed and reprinted at your expense, any errors from us will be fixed and reprinted at our own expense.We will not print your wedding invitation until your Final Proof has been signed and approved.
You can expect to receive your Final Proof within 4 Business Days of submitting your change requests. <

Final Set Preparation - Once your Final Proof Approval has been received, the artwork is prepared and sent to the printer. You will usually receive your invitations 3 -6 weeks from the final approval of your proof.

If we are shipping outside U.S.A and Canada, there may be shipping delays, so we try to allow extra time in the process. We cannot be responsible for missed deadlines as a result of a lengthy proofing process and delay in emailing us with your proofs, however, we do our best to meet all needs.

• Check and double check spelling, grammar and punctuation
• Double check all traditional titles e.g. Oba, Eze, Chief, Otunba etc and professional titles, names, dates, email and web addresses, telephone numbers, physical addresses
• Make sure you have included every relevant information
• Make sure that all dates and addresses are not abbreviated but spelled out
• Make sure all the stationery items including all the enclosures you've ordered are included in the proof
• Double check that paper colors, foil color, ribbon color are correct
• Check for missing motifs or design elements
• Lastly double check everything again-checking everything again including dates, names, addresses,venues, spelling and grammar. Then pass on your printing proof over to someone else for a fresh set of eyes.

Will changes to my proof cost extra?

We offer 2 complimentary rounds of proofs for wording with your order. We charge a $15 fee for additional revisions on the proofs. Rework will not begin until payment is received.

To what extent should I change my proof?

You cannot change the whole theme of your design, proof modifications should be minor in nature for example, slight layout adjustment. More complicated changes will be addressed at our discretion and an additional fee may be be required before proceeding.

Can I change to a different font from the one offered in a design?

We do not offer font changes to uphold the integrity of our designs. All of our fonts were specifically chosen for uniqueness and balance to match this invitation design.

Can I adjust (add or remove) some elements in an invitation such as ribbons, paper layers etc?

Yes - Our invitations can be customized with the removal of paper layers or ribbons. However, we do not offer cost adjustments to any product if an element has been requested to be removed. Just indicate your request in the "special requests" form for that particular invitation. Due to the custom nature of the dies created for foil stamping, foil stamped embellishments cannot be interchanged or removed.

What kind of inserts or enclosures do you offer?

We offer small enclosures only such as reply or response cards, reception cards, change of address cards or any other information that is short. However, we don not offer large enclosures for now such as enclosures for accommodations, maps(direction).

Can I use a wedding invitation design for a party, Native Law and Custom Wedding ( African Traditional), anniversary, or any other special event?

You absolutely can! Enter the wording you would like on your card card in the personalization form.

Can you change the size of your invitations?

We cannot change the size of our invitations to match your custom size because each foil embellishment is created by making a die that has a set height and width. Altering the size of an invitation will mean creating a new set of die for that particular size required and this would become extremely expensive.

I have my own design, can you print this?

No we do not offer custom design for now but we are considering this in the near future.

Is assembly required? How will I know how to put it together?

An assembly guide is included with your order if required, as some of the invitations will require some assembly. We will also include links to ribbon tying videos for invitations with bows as they will be shipped flat.

What is Foil Stamping?

Foil stamping is a decorative technique by which a thin sheet of metal foil called "foil leaf" is adhered to a paper substrate through the use of a die. Foil leaf is available in every imaginable color.
All the embellishments on the outer shell of our Okin signature collection are foil stamped which provides a uniquely vibrant image with depth and richness.

What other type of printing process do you use?

Flat or Offset printing, also referred to as offset lithography, is a type of printing process. It is called offset, because the ink is not directly pressed onto the paper, but is distributed from a metal plate to a rubber mat where it is then set onto the paper.
Our Ifeoma and Abena Collections utilizes this state of the art printing process, which means that you can customize your wedding invitation to your colors.

Do you provide digital hard copies of invitations?

No. We highly recommend ordering a sample to have a feel of the final product. We provide digital proofs of the wording layout only, we do not send actual printed proofs because of the cost and time involved.

• We don't add tax to international orders, but you may have to pay local taxes and customs charges in your country. We do not accept responsibility for these charges.
• International orders may be opened by official Customs Agents for review of their contents.

Who covers custom, duties and taxes for international orders?

Please check your countries rules on purchasing items from Canada for more information because our international shipping prices do not include customs, taxes, duties or any other fees that may be applied to your order in your home country.
Payment of customs, taxes, duties and all other fees associated with buying overseas merchandise is the responsibility of the buyer.
